The recipe is "stolen" from an acquaintance from Banat, who in turn "stole" it from another acquaintance. They use terracotta ovens, but they work very well in any electric or gas oven.
To keep the bread fresh, cover it with a cotton towel.
3 people ate 2 days of these breads, very healthy and nutritious, the first day they ate 1 loaf of bread, and the next two days they ate another 2 loaves.

  • 600g mashed potatoes (fasting puree)
  • 14g dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • hot water as it contains

Preparation time: over 120 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Bread with potatoes:

Make the puree and when it is warm pour it into a large bowl

Add sifted flour, yeast, sugar and salt over the puree.

Knead and add hot water so that the dough comes out like bread.

Add the oil and continue to knead.

Cover and leave in a warm place for 1 hour.

Knead once more and leave to rise for 30 minutes.

Remove the dough on a flour-covered surface.

Shape and put in baking paper. Leave to rise for another 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven a few minutes before.

Put in the oven for about 1 hour until nicely browned.
