Delicious and fragrant quince liqueur, a fine drink prepared according to an old recipe

Ingredients: one kilogram of ripe quince, one kilogram of sugar, one liter of refined double alcohol (80-96 degrees), homemade brandy (for diluting), cinnamon or vanilla (optional).

Wash the quinces well, clean the spine, remove the seeds and cut into small pieces. The quince pieces are put in a 5-liter plastic jug (or in a 5-liter jar). Pour the sugar over the quince and move the bowl so that the sugar is evenly distributed over the quince. The container is stored in the pantry or cellar, in the dark and left for 2-3 days, during which time the bowl is shaken several times a day, until the sugar melts completely and a thick, sweet syrup is collected on the bottom of the bowl. Add the refined double alcohol and leave to soak for at least 10 days. Vanilla or cinnamon essence can be added according to everyone's preference.

After 10 days, strain the liqueur and put it in bottles that are kept in the refrigerator. The liqueur obtained will be very sweet and quite strong. For those who want to dilute it, it is recommended to use homemade brandy or quality vodka, writes gustoase.ro.
